Trying to Ruin a Person's life? Hearing Half of the Story Isn't Right

Los Angeles News Co.

March 24, 2021
The creator and entrepreneur of Influences, Ariadna Jacobs has announced the unfair article written by Taylor Lorenz and Published by New York Times.

Ariadna Jacob has faced challenges as a Mexican foreigner who lost her father as a child, a college dropout who overcame living with ADHD and after that getting to be a bootstrapped Latina originator - the collapse of her trade has affected her life drastically.

Last Fall, Taylor Lorenz had written an article, "Trying to Make It Big Online? Getting Signed Isn’t Everything" discussing the "behind the scenes of Ariadna Jacobs". In this article Taylor explains how many young people come to Los Angeles in hopes of achieving their dreams of fame and fortune. She emphasizes how Ariadna had signed many Social Media Stars telling them to join her company and they will get brand deals weekly. She also discusses how Ariadna Jacob failed to meet her end of the promised payment for the mortgage of the house.

However, Taylor had left out Ariadna's side of the story. There were many issues that were occuring such as late night parties which led to the involvement of the police, nudes being sent out, & many more problems that were not discussed.

Ariadna felt like she was betrayed especially because when Taylor Lorenz was going through issues on social media Ariadna reached out telling her not to worry about others.

"Just remember - was there when you changed every member of the Hype House's life. You created millionaires and changed how people as we know it. Fuck those people writing articles about you. I'm so tired of people trying to pull people down when they're ahead, especially women...Hope you're doing ok" Ms. Ariadna Sent to Taylor via messages.

As of today, Ms. Ariadna Jacobs side of the story has not been published. However, she continues in taking action by suing the New York Times. Ms. Jacobs always tends to emphasize her struggles as a child which she believes "empowers" her.

"Thinking about the challenges I've had to overcome as a Mexican immigrant who lost her father as a child, a college dropout who overcame living with ADHD and then becoming a bootstrapped Latina founder - the collapse of my business is especially difficult. A loss which was, in my opinion, a result of an unfair, un-fact checked take down written by Taylor Lorenz and published in the New York Times" Ms. Jacobs Said.

Til this day, Ms. Jacobs continues to thrive and achieve her goal despite the fact that New York Times allowed Taylor Lorenz to publish an unfair article smearing her company.
